It is rich in anti-oxidants, polyphenols and carotenoid compounds. The fruit of plum is green, red, purple, yellow in colour and it appears ball-shaped. The plum tree is used for its beneficial properties and for managing various conditions. In India, it is cultivated in the areas of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Punjab.
